The City Palace:


City Palace situated on the banks of Lake Pichola, Exemplifying the
daunting architecture , it will be your first place to visit in Udaipur.
The palace represents the Rajput military architecture and Mughal-
style adornment built between the16th and 20th centuries by 22
different Maharanas.The gigantic complex contains 11 palaces in
total,so be prepared to spend some time exploring the many facets,
which include courtyards, gates, temples, arches, and towers.The
grounds along the palace alone make a visit worthwhile. On the
premises,there is also a museum .
City Palace

Lakes Around The City:

Udaipur is known for the most romantic cities in India and thanks to its
abundance of lakes and other places. Lake Pichola and Lake Fatehsagar
are two of the most popular man-made lakes around the city, which are
connectedby a canal. Don’t miss an evening boat ride on one of the lakes
as these lakesare one of the most visited places in Udaipur.
Pichola Lake is one of the most alluring and picturesque lakes of Rajasthan.
Pichola Lake is the oldest and one of the enormous lakes of Udaipur,
Located inthe heart of the city, (3 miles in length and 2 miles in width with
upto 30 feet deep at places).
Lake Fatehgarh is Located towards the north of Lake Pichola, is also man-
made lake. It is enclosed by a number of hills on the three sides and Pratap
Memorial on the north. The best way to enjoy the lake is by a boat ride
around the lake.
 Bagore ki Haveli:
Build in the 18th-century,Bagore ki Haveli has been carefully rehabilitated and
turned into a museum.In inclusion to facisnating cultural displays, Bagore ki
Haveli is also a homeland to the world’s largest turban. Whether you visit the
museum or not, you might want to visit this place in Udaipur to see the a
traditional Rajasthani folk dance show called Dharohar. The show timings
start at 7pm, but tickets are first come, first served, so it’s best to approach
around 6:30pm if possible.
Bagore ki Haveli

Saheliyon Ki Bari:

Feel some cool breeze and sunlight with a visit to Saheliyon Ki Bari also
known as the “Garden of the Maidens”. This is one of the most famous
gardens and travellers do visit this place in Udaipur to spend a couple
of hours when they don’t feel like being in a museum or palace but just
relax for a while. The embellished gardens are home to fountains,flower
beds, marble elephants,beautiful lotus pond, and a small museum.

There are numerous markets and bazaars in the city, but one of the best
market to visit is Hathi Pol if you want to do some memorable shopping.
This is where you can pick up all the local folk art and handicrafts,
including the unique Rajasthani miniature paintings. This is also a good
market to score some jewellery,especially earrings. Hathi Pol is also
known to be attended more by locals than tourists, making it possibly
easier to get a bargain on what you buy.You must visit this place in

SaajjanGarh Fort /The Monsoon Palace:

Another palace called SaajjanGarh Fort is a must visit place in Udaipur
you might want to check out. Rested high on a mount above the city, the
palace is popular for it’s sunset spot due to its seamlessly perfect views
over Udaipur.It is known as Monsoon Palace as the first glimpse of this
fort will make you feel like sitting as a crown on the top of Aravalli hills from
the City Palace.  Sunset be the best time to visit this place.

GanGaur Ghat:

Gangaur ghat has different auras at different times. Visitors on early
mornings will catch people doing the daily rituals, temples around
echoing with chants,evenings graced with sparkling of lights whereas
in day it can become really haywire and super engaged. You must
visit this place in Udaipur during early mornings or evenings.

Jagdish Temple :

Jagdish temple, Built by Maharaja Jagat Singh  in 1651, is a true
example of Indo- Aryan style architecture. Jagdish temple was built
in Vastushastra style,Sculpted with the statues of Gods and
Goddesses. The temple is sited in the town at a short distance from
Tripoli Gate of the Palace and there is no such entry fees to visit the
place in the city.

The Vintage & Classic Car Collection is a museum of car collection
with a difference. The vehicles on display have been the property of the
Maharanas of Mewar both in past and present. All the vehicles are in
working order,Despite some of them being over seventy years old, each
one has been diligently restored.

Bhartiya Lok Kala Museum:

Situated in the Chetak Circle,It is a folk-art museum that must be visited in
Udaipur. This Museum is a perfect place for the traveller who loves history
as it exhibits a collection of Rajasthani culture. Bhartiya Lok Kala museum
has an excellent collection of tribal jewellery, turbans,dresses, dolls, musical
instruments,masks, paintings and puppets, which are the zenith of the
museum and a beautiful place to be visited in udaipur.

Ambrai Ghat:


Ambrai Ghat is Located on the bank of Lake Pichola, a wonderful place
for lensman. One gets an exclusive view of the City Palace and Lake
Palace from here.This place in Udaipur is quite romantic and often
remains crowded by large number of couples coming here in the evening.
The best time to be here is during sunset as one can click the perfect
pictures at that time.

Ambrai Ghat



Shilpgram:


Shilpgram is the right place to visit in Udaipur if you are someone who
likes to learn about culture! This Village is located at a distance of 3kms
from the main city. It is a stunning place to see various traditions and
culture of India as it showcases the rural life of Rajasthan, Gujarat ,
Maharashtra as well as Goa. You can enjoy traditional dance and music
with rides on horses and camels.

Moti magri is a hilltop that has the famous Maharana Pratap Memorial.
The hill has one of the earliest palaces in Mewar called Moti Mahal, where
once Maharana Udai Singh lived and overlooks Lake Fatehsagar . The
ravishing Japanese Rock Garden and the Pratap Smarak are the peaks
of Moti Magri and you must visit this place in udaipur to experience the
beautiful view. The rise of the hill gives perfect pictures of the city to the
tourist. A light and sound show is also arranged here in the evening
showcasing the thousand years of Mewar rule.

Kumbhalgarh Fort:


Kumbhalgarh Fort is about 102.5km away from Udaipur. It was built in 15th
century by Rana Kumbha. It is considered an majestic fort of the Mewar
kingdom after Chittorgarh as it is believed that the Mewar warrior Maharana
Pratap was born in this fort.

Mansapurna Karni Ropeway:


Mansapurna Karni Ropeway is a favoured place for the travellers who love
adventure and is enjoyed by almost everyone who visits the city of
Udaipur. It is a cable car which is positioned between two mountains on the
bank of Lake Pichola. Tourist can admire the view of Lake Pichola, Lake Fateh
Sagar, City Palace complex, Sajjangarh Fort and the Aravali mountains from
here clearly and can click a lot of pictures..







Udaipur Solar Observatory:


Located on the island of Fateh Sagar Lake,Udaipur Solar Observatory is
considered as the best solar observing site in India. It was entrenched by
Dr. Arvind Bhatnagar and sketched according to the model of Solar
Observatory at Big Bear Lake. Admiringly surrounded by the lake, it offers
the best atmosphere for solar observations. One must visit this place in
Udaipur and you can pay a visit there only by taking a boat ride and that
definitely enhances the fun and excitement here.

Dudh Talai Musical Garden:


Surrounded by a rock garden,Dudh Talai Musical Garden is a small pond which has a musical fountain in it. The garden is situated within the city,While the environs of the garden is pretty good, the best part about it is the boundless view visible from here.
You may also go boating on the pond,can enjoy horse and camel rides, and also One high point of the location is the ropeway connecting it to the Karni Mata Temple.

Haldighati:


Haldighati is a mountain pass, connecting the districts of Rajsamand and
Pali in the Aravalli range. It is known for the battle of Haldighati that took
place in 1576 between Rana Pratap Singh of Mewar and Raja Man Singh
of Amber.If you are travelling to udaipur, don’t forget to put it in your
